For Parents

You built the homeschool.
We're the addition that helps it flourish.

You've taken on the most ambitious project a parent can: leading your child's education. Here's how Suma fits into what you're building, and what working together actually looks like.

How We Fit

Three ways families bring Suma into their homeschool.

The Subject Specialist

One subject has become a battleground, often math or writing. We take it over, find the key that makes it click, and hand back a child who believes they can do it.

The Enrichment Engine

Your homeschool covers the foundation; we add the stretch. Advanced reasoning, creative projects, and the kind of intellectual challenge that turns a capable student into an exceptional one.

The Strategic Partner

Ongoing collaboration across your homeschool plan. We help you map the year, spot gaps before they become struggles, and bring specialist depth wherever it's needed.

What to Expect

Your first 30 days with Suma.

Day 1

Discovery Call

A 30-minute conversation with Amy about your child, your goals, and your homeschool. No pressure, no pitch. If Suma isn't the right addition for your family, we'll tell you.

2
Week 1

Meet & Map

Your child's first sessions are about connection and observation. We learn how they think, what excites them, and where the friction lives, then share what we're seeing with you.

Weeks 2–4

The Plan Takes Shape

You receive a personalized learning picture: where your child is anchored, where they're ready to stretch, and the approach we'll use to get the first breakthroughs.

Rhythm & Reporting

Regular sessions, regular updates. You'll always know what we're working on, what clicked, and how to carry it into the rest of your week.

Asked by parents like you.

No, and that's by design. Suma means "addition" in Spanish, and that's exactly what we are. You lead your child's education; we add the specialist depth, fresh methods, and breakthrough moments that help what you've built flourish. Your curriculum, your values, and your vision stay at the center.

Traditional tutoring usually re-teaches the same material the same way, just slower and louder. We do the opposite: if a method isn't clicking, we change the method, not the expectations. Movement, story, hands-on building, play. We adapt until we find the key that fits your child's mind, then build from that breakthrough.

We work with homeschool families across elementary through high school, with depth in core academics (math, reading, and writing) as well as enrichment that builds critical thinking and scientific curiosity. The Discovery Call is where we'll talk specifics about your child's age, level, and goals.

It depends on your family's location and preferences. We'll cover the options on your Discovery Call and design a rhythm that fits your homeschool week, not the other way around.

Two ways. First, you'll hear it from us: regular, plain-language updates on what we're working on and what clicked. Second, and more importantly, you'll see it in your child: the dreaded subject stops being dreaded, confidence shows up in places it didn't exist, and they start saying "I can do this." That shift is the real metric.

Every Suma engagement is built around your child, so we discuss investment on the Discovery Call once we understand the scope: one subject, full enrichment, or strategic partnership. What we can promise up front: you'll always know exactly what you're investing in and why.

The next question is best answered in person.

Bring us your child's story: the wins, the struggles, the goals. In 30 minutes, you'll know whether Suma is the right addition to your family.
